Anybody that struggles to find things to do in Glenwood Springs CO must be utterly confused. There are good reasons why it has been voted the most fun town in the United States by no other than Rand McNally and USA Today. The city is proud of its natural beauty and its hospitality to visitors. There are only a little more than nine thousand five hundred people living there, but they know how to make visitors welcome.

Hanging Lake is one of the main attractions of this area. Apart from the spectacular natural hanging gardens the area offers astounding views and many pleasant hiking trails. No wonder it has been declared a National Natural Landmark site. The lake is a particular pleasure to behold and there is a waterfall that will take the breath away. A visit to this site should be considered as compulsory.

Then there is the largest hot springs pool in the world. It is most certainly worth a visit and considered to be one of the most fun filled ways in which to spend a day. Many people believe that the water, which is rich in minerals, have healing powers. In fact, Ute Indians used to undertake regular pilgrimages to obtain healing and rejuvenation.

The entire family will enjoy an outing to the Caverns Adventure Park and Historic Fairy Caves. The views from the park are spectacular. There are views of Mount Sopris, the Colorado River and the breathtaking beauty of the countryside surrounding the Iron Mountain. There are numerous adventure activities, ranging from a giant swing over the canyon to the longest alpine coaster in the USA. Of course, an exploration of the famous fairy caves is an absolute must.

Of course, it would be neglectful to forego a visit to the White River National Forest. There are many excellent camping sites and it is possible to hike, go on mountain bike trails, hunt and fish. If hunting and fishing is not the desired activity, perhaps horseback riding and hiking will provide the thrills of watching an abundance of wild life and some of the most beautiful scenery to be seen anywhere in the world.

There is little doubt that nature lovers, hikers and amateur photographers will love this region. It is rich in natural beauty, amazing vistas and views that will take the breath away. There are hiking trails to suit every need and level of fitness. In many cases it is possible to hire a guide to enrich the experience. Apart from the natural extravagances there are also many historical and geological sites of interest.

Those that are not particularly interested in the outdoors live will also be thrilled. There are excellent shopping opportunities and the cultural activities are numerous. How about a performance by the resident Vaudeville Revue Comedy that combines slapstick and comedy impressions to entertain their audiences. They have been a part of the scene for many years and have received excellent reviews everywhere in the United States.

When it comes to deciding upon things to do in Glenwood Springs CO the problem is in the vast number of choices. It is not the most fun city in the US for nothing. There is something for everybody, regardless of taste and preference. Colorado is certainly worth a visit and it will satisfy every member of the family.
