Everyone loves a good ghost story and this article will show a few tales you could possibly bring up to give your friends and family for a little fun. Some popular scary horror stories include The Amityville Horror, Bloody Mary, Death of David Gregory, Carmen Winstead, and the Bell Witch.

The story of Amityville Horror is still a classic scary tale to tell to this very day. The story begins with a tale of murder that involved a madman nicknamed Butch, who murdered his parents and siblings which started a chain of serious hauntings that would last almost thirty decades afterwards. People that moved in would feel an unearthly presence and doors and windows that were locked would be mysteriously unlocked.

The next story is about Bloody Mary and it is another classical tale that involves a menacing ghost. The story states that there was a very beautiful girl named Mary that often admired herself in the mirror until one day, she had a horrible accident that left her face bloodied and disfigured. She can be called by being in a dark room in front of a mirror and chanting her name three times.

The curse is supposed to be everlasting and the popularity of this story has spawned books and similar movies as well so slightly altering the events of the story wont hurt to spook your friends.

The Death of David Gregory and Carmen Winstead are two different tales but share a similar premise both involving young people being pushed into a sewer to their deaths. Theses tales are actually rooted by a chain letter that was posted over the internet and although they are similar in context the ways that both victims met their ill fates are quite different.

The death of David was caused by the death of Carmen who was pushed into a sewer to her death by a group of girls. Afterwards, a chain letter was released over the internet and a boy named David read it but did not re-post it like the message had stated. Later after a search, his found his body in a sewer with a broken neck and most of his face peeled off.

A final tale of scary horror stories involves the tale of the Bell Witch which took place in the early 19th century in Tennessee. The poltergeist is known to very violent and vengeful spirit of a woman named Kate Batts. She believed she was cheated by a man for land purchases and on her deathbed she swore to haunt him and all of his descendants which would go on to last for 200 years.
