If one would want to have a fun filled vacation that combines adventure as well as relaxation, then he should go to Ushuaia. In Ushuaia, one can have a fun filled relaxing vacation wherein he can enjoy the ambiance and the scenery. The after that, he may embark on an adventure on one of the antarctic cruises from Ushuaia to the icy regions of Antarctica.
Now before going to the cruise, first take a look at the beautiful resort town found in Argentina. Now this is one of the towns in Argentina that would have a lot of nature to show to the tourists and a lot of beautiful infrastructure. The town would give an old town feel to it like one has stepped back in time.
Now after a time of relaxing in the town, the next thing to do is to embark on the journey to the frozen lands. The journey starts off in the harbor wherein one would be boarding a cruise ship that would go all the way to Antarctica. Now just to give people an idea, some places that one may visit would be South Orkney Islands or the South Shetland Islands among others.
Due to regulations on traveling and tourism, big ships are not allowed to sail into Antarctica anymore due to the dangers of crashing into icebergs so smaller ships can sail in. Most of these ships can only house two hundred passengers and would not dock anywhere in the frozen islands. They would most likely just sail around the area so that the tourists may have an eyeful.
Of course if one is a first time traveler to this island, then he better not expect to see a lot of beautiful scenery. There are a lot of remote areas in the area that are made out of icebergs and ice structures. There are also a lot of ice caverns and ice caves that one may actually take picture of.
Now the really cool things that one may be able to see here would of course be the marine life. Now these marine creatures have changed and evolved in order to adapt to the conditions of the land. There are a lot of whales that can be found here as well as walruses and seals.
Other animals that can be found here would also be the polar bears that one may often see on television shows. There would also be a horde of penguins that may be seen marching around the icy ground of the region. Now aside from animals, there are also a few structures there like the huts and some igloos too that the tourists may take pictures of and show to their friends.
So basically those are some of the things that one may see when he would go on this type of cruise. If one is into adventure into the unknown places, then this is the type of vacation for him. There are so many places in here to explore that have been left untouched by the outside world.
