Various Designs Of Pool Canopy

By John Cook

Swimming is not only a sport but a recreational activity that enable s one to be physically fit. People especially adore it as a recreational activity. People mostly swim when the sun is hot but go to sunbathe by the side of the pond. Sometimes, you may want to be in the poo but under a shade at the same time. Below are some of the available pool canopy.

The most common is the shade sails. As the name suggests, they provide shade and are in the form of sails. These come in different colours and can give your pool whatever look you prefer. They are really strong and cannot be blown away by the wind. This fact makes them a bit more expensive. In the event you need to cover the whole pool, you may need more than one.

Pergolas are a type of shade made of wood. For them, it is advisable to put it up at one end of the loch as the it will provide a perfect shade and light on the pond. The pond gets a very attractive view, and you will always be tempted to take a dive. Pergolas also add the value of your home provided the wood used is of good quality.

The retractable shade canopies. These are by far the best and easiest to operate. The shade covers the whole loch and can be retracted whenever necessary. On somedays, you can retract the whole canopy you can retract a little part of it. You should not, however, leave the canopy up all the time because it will be the equivalent of having an indoor pond.

This may come as a shock, but umbrellas are actually an option. You are probably imagining of a huge umbrella that emerges from the bottom of the pond. This is not at all the case. By umbrellas, I mean several umbrellas. These can be really classy as they are a shade for both inside and out the loch. You also get to move them around however you desire.

Some canopies appear to be more permanent than others although they can always be brought down. One such is known as a cantilever. It is usually put in place by cementing two vertical poles to the sides of the loch and them, in turn, hold a canopy over part of the pond. Since it cannot be retracted, it does not cover the whole pool.

Retractable enclosures are exactly what they sound like. The loch is enclosed, but the whole structure can be retracted. The owner of the loch can always remove the canopy to get sun warmth. The canopy, however, lets in as much light as is required. It also prevents the loch getting dirt from things like dust and little leaves.

The clear parts retract while the skeletal parts are left standing in place. They prevent the pond being dirty, A pool side free-standing structure is another one of the canopies. They do not cover the pool at all. Rather they are the relaxing area beside the pond. You can put some beach furniture for relaxation purposes.
