Fortunately many people living on this planet are always looking for brand new ways to bring excitement into their lives. This is one reason why supernatural thriller books are fun to read very late at night. There are so many of these novels to choose from and a person will never get bored once they have started reading these pages.
A person who grew up over forty years ago has heard all about a novel called The Exorcist. They have even had the chance to read a story which was titled The Omen. Later on a novel call Poltergeist came along which dealt with a haunted house and it was also great. David Seltzer knew that he had hit gold with The Omen since it played upon a persons faith and questioned every individuals beliefs. It also made many people wonder about the Devil and his great powers.
The small boy named Damien came into the Thorne family very innocently but underneath his smile was a vicious killer who would destroy everyone in order to gain everything. His hound from Hell convinced his lovely young nanny to kill herself during Damiens birthday party. This was the first evil deed which was done before more destruction was to come.
This young lass was very happy at the time of her death and she did love Damien very much even though she had to leave him all alone. Damien smiled as the woman killed herself since he knew that a new guardian would soon take her place and this was very good for him and his mission.
Life in the mansion goes on as usual since a new nanny has come to replace the now deceased young woman. This new woman seems to be very interested in Damien and she ensures the family that he will always be well protected. They consent to having this woman around even though it may later spell doom for the wife.
Mrs. Thorne discovered that she was having a second child but she did not want to go through with the pregnancy. Having Damien around was a bit too much and another child was no good news at this time. She had no idea that Damien was not her son and this young boy also wanted the unborn child dead. She was later murdered while staying at a hospital and a man who was helping Mr. Thorne was also killed.
If The Omen does not scare you then writer William Peter Blatty will change all of this with his novel called The Exorcist. This is a tale about a young girl living in Georgetown with here now divorced mother and nanny. Reagan is a sweet little girl who has the misfortune of playing with a Ouija board on her own. This event produces a vengeful spirit who eventually takes possession of her body and things get real ugly within this household.
Reagan was a young girl who loved to play games and she especially loved to talk with Captain Howdy through the Ouija board. He was a very wicked demon who hated this girl and everyone else around. By the end of this novel people will question the strength of the church and priests.
