Ideas On Gifts For Tree Huggers

When looking for craft materials, origami designs made from recycled paper, decorative driftwood in its natural form or carved, metal and plastic are all common in the construction of art. Art often makes one of the best gifts for tree huggers. That is, as long as all aspects of the piece are from natural or recycled materials. The best way to assure success with any type of gift giving is to always include a gift receipt when and where possible.

If looking for different types of wood to use in various projects, beaches near trees are often a good resource. These areas often house a lot of old tree trunks and driftwood. It is important when within the confines of a National or State park to check the rules and regulations on removing such material. At many parks in the U. S., it is illegal to remove anything and requested people only leave footsteps.

While most people prefer to simply buy something from a store, or online, there are others who make gifts from recycled materials. Metal, Plastic, Wood, all are fun to work with and can be crafted into a beautiful works of art. Plastic being the easiest, then wood and metal. Wood can be carved into various animals and objects. Whereas, metal on the other hand often requires at least hand, if not more advanced tools for making art.

When it comes to different types of art that can be made from these recycled materials, the sky is often the limit. From ink pens to foot stools, there are many different creations which can be made in a short amount of time. Individuals looking for ideas on different creations can always surf the internet for ideas, inspiration and patterns.

Organic t-shirts, dresses, skirts and other outwear is often available online and at local Natural oriented shops in different areas. These are often some of the best and most comfortable clothing one can buy. It is still important to assure that anyone wearing the clothing does not have allergies to the dye or materials.

Something else a tree hugger might appreciate are books on various topics. Tree huggers generally love gardening and recycling, so books on these subjects and organic cooking often make great gifts. If living in the same area, helping out in the garden a few times a week can often benefit a friend or neighbor. Gifts also come in all shapes and sizes and are not necessarily tangible assets.

One of the most inexpensive and coolest gifts one can give an environmentalist is a pair of socks. Socks come in a variety of colors, sizes and styles. Whether female, male or transgendered, socks are often a great gift. These great foot protectors and warmers can now be found in a number of organic fabrics. Whether at an art festival, fair or store, there are a number of bright and interesting colors and patterns.

There are also a number items for the home, water bottles, utensils, dishware which can make excellent gifts. If the recipient goes on picnics or travels, a set of bamboo utensils in a carry pouch can make a great gift for little money. Regardless, most tree huggers live by the philosophy its really the thought that counts and will most likely appreciate any gift. Though, if a gift is purchased at a gift shop or store in which gift receipts are available, it is best to include a gift receipt. Doing so will allow the individual the option of exchanging the gift for another item if there is a problem.
