Popular Destinations For Baby Boomer Travel

By Kristen Knapp

Thousands of babies were born in the U. S. A shortly after World War II. These babies have grown up, and are now at the age they can retire. This generation should have four places they should visit for baby boomer travel.

The first place many people visit is they vacation to the Greek Isles. Boomers can cruise around the islands on a cruise ship to visit the different historical sites. These islands house one of the seven wonders of the world. The islands are very popular among tourists who want to see a part of history on their vacation.

Another destination people love to see, is to take a cruise to Hawaii. The cruise lasts fifteen days, and vacationers can tour the Hawaii Islands during the cruise. People can walk up volcanoes, or they can enjoy the sun, and tan on the beach. At night, the cities come alive with hula girls, and other live entertainment to enjoy.

Alaska is a popular destination when people want to experience the wilderness. The retiree's can go camping in the wilderness, or they can go fishing in the ocean. People who love to hunt, can go on guided hunts in remote locations. There are also cruise lines that sail to Alaska all year-round.

The last destination that many baby boomers travel to is the Bahamas. The Bahamas have several resorts along the white sandy beaches that retiree's can choose from. When there, they can tan on the beach, go fishing, snorkeling, or scuba diving. People can also enjoy the night life, with a variety of restaurants and night clubs that has a variety of live entertainment.

These four popular destinations should be the first places that retiree's should pick for baby boomer travel spots. There are hundreds that boomers can choose from, and these 4 places are great to kick off their retirement. All the boomers pinched their pennies to travel once they retire from their jobs.
