Writing a memoir can be exciting and inspiring for the readers but a bit frustrating for its writers. This literary masterpiece depicts a life-changing event in that evidently aims to educate its followers empowering them to surpass their own endeavors. Normally it is written in fictional form making it more enjoyable and comprehensive. First time writers though have difficulty composing one. It may be a personal account but some gets mixed up with the details making it boring and uninteresting.

Educating and motivating others requires a writer to be well-organized. Although this is clearly a personal recollection of their lives one must be specific in relaying the chronological occurrence of events to keep the interest of their readers. A simple outline is helpful in achieving this. It would be best to create a rough draft first before publishing it. This will help remind you of details you often miss out when composing your literature.

Check for grammar or spelling errors after you have completed the draft. This is a must especially if you intend to share it with the world. You may also want to double check details with historical value. This can be traced in history books. Accuracy plays an important role in maintaining credibility. The slightest inconsistency can affect the popularity of your literary entry. A poorly composed literature tends to wade intellectual readers who rely on your composition for advice and information.

Readers should relate to each scenario. Personal jokes must be explained to avoid losing their interest due to confusion. Also practice discretion in using names of people and places that might be mentioned in the story. Change some of it when required. Some people like to keep their details confidential. It would be safer to place a disclaimer in the beginning of the story to protect you from legal issues.

Be open-minded. You cannot expect everyone to like your masterpiece. However be cautious to hear them out. Noting their reviews regarding your work can be your steppingstone in improving your craft. Surely you can always right another one in the future right?
