Why Visit And Stay At Hotels In Hoi An

By Jose Maurette Garces

Hoi An, boasting one of the best beaches in the world, is located on the central Vietnamese coast and it is one of the prettiest towns that you are likely to find. The old buildings that hark back to a bygone age lend the town a romantic feel that is beguiling to tourists who come in the thousands to wander through the old quarter. There are many hotels in Hoi An that can help to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

At its peak between the 15th and 19th centuries, Hoi An was a busy and lively trading center and saw ships coming from China, Japan, India and Holland to do business there. Most of the town's original buildings have been preserved and they can be seen and visited still today. Stone foot bridges and interesting architecture make it fascinating to wander around and there are many artesan's markets selling local handicrafts.

Something else that makes Hoi An so pleasant to visit and walk around on foot is that in the city there are no cars or moto taxis since they have been banned there. It is safe to walk there without being honked at non stop like you experience in many other Asian cities.

Close to the city there are fascinating ruins called My Son and to get some sun and sand there is the Cua Dai beach very close by and the famous China Beach as well, which is great for snorkeling and windsurfing.

The town does not have an airport nearby so Hoi An is only accessible by road. It is easily accessible from Nha Trang and there are thousands of people who come each year to visit the charming historical town. Most people tend to stay at accommodation either around the city center or out at Cua Dai beach.

Hoi An is a lovely and pretty little city that definitely should be visited on any trip to Vietnam. There is plenty of accommodation and hotels in Hoi An to meet any budget and give you a satisfying stay while in town.
